Abstract (EN)
The aim of the present study is to examine the relationship between the self-regulation skills and perceived parenting style, teacher's behaviours. The sample of this research was prepared according to the descriptive survey model, consists of 390 fourth-grade students studying in primary schools in Buca district of Izmir in the 2021-2022 academic year. Personal Information Form, Perceived Self-Regulation Scale, Child Raising Attitudes Scale, Perceived Teacher's Behaviours Scale were used as data collection tools in the study. Data analysis was conducted in IBM SPSS 25 statistical program. Independent groups T-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Analysis were utilized. As a result of the research, a positive and strong significant relationship was revealed between students' self-regulation skills and perceived teacher's behaviours, parenting styles. The students' self-regulation scores were at a medium level. Upon examination of other findings of the research; It was concluded that male students viewed their parents more positively than female students. Additionally, it was observed that as students' academic success increases, their self-regulation, parenting styles, and teacher's behaviours scores also increase. However, while self-regulation and teacher's behaviours differ according to the education level of the mother and father; parenting styles differ only in line with the mother's education level. When examined according to the number of siblings variable, differences were observed in self-regulation, parenting styles and teacher's behaviours scores.
