Abstract (EN)

This study aims to investigate the mediating role of job insecurity in the relationship between perceived organizational support and affective commitment. The research examines the concepts of perceived organizational support, affective commitment, and job insecurity and their interconnections. A research model and corresponding hypotheses were developed to analyze the associations among these variables. The study was conducted among 294 employees of an aviation company operating in Ankara, Istanbul and Erzincan provinces in Turkey. Data were collected through an online survey questionnaire administered to the participants. The collected data were analyzed using the statistical software programs SPSS 23 and AMOS 23. The statistical analyses revealed a significant and positive effect of perceived organizational support on affective commitment, while job insecurity perception had a significant and negative effect. Moreover, the findings indicated that job insecurity perception negatively impacted affective commitment, and perceived organizational support exerted an indirect effect on affective commitment through job insecurity. The implications of these results are discussed, providing valuable insights for organizations operating in the aviation sector.
