Abstract (EN)
There are many factors that affect life satisfaction levels of individuals. Among these factors, the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the perceived support from different institutions on life satisfaction. In accordance with this purpose, effect of perceived organizational support and perceived social support on life satisfaction is evaluated with quantitative methods for a sample that composed of disabled soldier officers who are members of Turkish Armed Forces. Questionnaire was applied face to face for the ones that reside in Ankara and for the ones that reside in other cities it was applied via e-mail; the sample of the study consists of a total of 208 soldier officers. According to the research findings, it was determined that organizational support, social support and the support from their colleagues has a positive effect on the life satisfaction of disabled soldiers; whereas support form family and significant others do not have a significant effect on their life satisfaction. Besides, it has been found that rather than their perceived social support, the organizational support provided to them by their institutions has more effect on their life satisfaction.
