Abstract (EN)
Today, digital game addiction has become very common among children and young people. This situation can lead to some psychological and social problems. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the perceived level of social support by an individual's family member, teacher or friend, and digital play addiction. For this purpose, "Digital Gaming Dependency" and "Perceived Social Support" tests and "Socio-demographic Information Form" were applied to 350 students randomly selected from three middle school seniors in Fatih district of Istanbul province. In order to obtain the results of the applied tests, the gathered data was entered into the SPSS 22 program and analyzed. In conclusion, There was a negative relationship between perceived social support and digital game addiction. However, there is no significant difference between perceived social support and overall and sub-dimensions of digital game dependence according to the t test result.
