Abstract (EN)

In this study, the relationship between the stress levels and life satisfaction of the mothers of the generation Y (born between 1980-1995) and between the ages of 25-40 with their religious beliefs was examined. The motherhood experiences of these individuals, who are young adults, differ from the previous generations. Today, the stress levels of the millennial mothers are expected to be high due to the changing parenting perception. Religious beliefs are thought to be closely related to individuals' stress level and life satisfaction. For this purpose, the study group of the study consisted of women who were born between 1980 and 1995 and had at least one child. In the study, the Life Satisfaction Scale was used to determine the life satisfaction of the participants, the Perceived Stress Scale to measure their stress levels, and the Arrow Religious Attitude Scale to determine their religious attitudes. In addition, demographic characteristics of the participants were evaluated using the "Sociodemographic Information Form" prepared by the researcher. The statistical data of the study were made in IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 program. Pearson's correlation analysis was used for the total analysis of the scale scores. Analysis of total scale scores according to the participants' birth years, employment status and religious education as a child was made with the "Independent Variable t-test". "Kruskal-Wallis" analysis was used in the analysis of scale total scores according to perceived income. As a result of the analyzes performed, the perceived stress was found to be higher in the older part of the group (born in 1980-1987). Being employed or not had an effect on the life satisfaction of the participants. Having received religious education as a child was associated with current religious belief. Participants with high perceived stress levels had low religious attitudes. The perceived stress levels of the participants with high life satisfaction were low. There was no significant relationship between life satisfaction and religious attitude. It has been determined that the level of income is effective on perceived stress, religious belief and life satisfaction. The results of the research were discussed in the light of the available literature and recommendations were presented.
