Abstract (EN)

Ali Shariati, an Iranian Muslim philosopher and author, is a scholar who wrote books on, especially, contemporary Islamic thought and had a lasting impact on the Islamic society by his original ideas. This research contains Ali Shariati's interpretation of the concept of Tawhîd in the name of reconstruction of the traditional Islamic thought and his system which he produced in line with this purpose. The main purpose of this study is to determine and to evaluate how the concept of tawhîd which is well-known as a matter of faith was interpreted by Shariati as a worldview and thought affected the whole life. In this context, the impact of his tawhid centered thought on his readings of history, society and human being is analyzed, and also, the process of transformation of these ideas to a system of thought is examined. Shariati who re-interpreted and evaluated history, society and people, presented his attitude in accordance with his tawhid centered thought. In this research, Shariati's thought is analyzed in terms of philosophy of history, sociology and human sciences and his tawhid centered thought is remarked. Besides, it is dealt with the role of his tawhid centered thought in his approach to other belief systems.
