Ali Suad's life and works

Ali Suad is a constitutional intellectual who wrote articles in many magazines and newspapers during his lifetime, and also had printed books. At the same time, he is a graduate of Mekteb-i Mülkiye. There are many types of copyright and translation works on topics such as poems, stories, travel writings, literary criticisms, opinion writings on economics and municipal management. However, the most striking work of the author both in his own time and today has been his travel writings. Ali Suad is an unknown name in our literature except for a few studies. It was seen in the research that there was no study on his literary life and works. In this thesis, first of all, a brief information will be given about the literary movements that developed during the Constitutional Era and after. Later, the biography of the author, his publishing life that we can call close to Servet-i Fünun and Fecri Ati movements and his relations with literary circles are given. After giving information about copyright and translated works, his works were examined. His stories were evaluated in terms of the event pattern, theme, personality, place, time and language and narrative characteristics, respectively, and his poetry understanding was discussed after his poems were classified thematically. Then, travel articles were emphasized. Finally, some archive documents used in the study and the covers of the author's printed works are added in the appendix.
