Abstract (EN)
Carbon dioxide (CO2) released into the atmosphere during cement production is one of the most influential factors on global warming. Due to the recent increase in CO2 emissions, it is a goal to minimize CO2 emissions in the construction sector, as in many other sectors. With this size, the use of geopolymers has become widespread. In this study; Geopolymer mortars were prepared by replacing 0%, 15% and 30% by weight blast furnace slag (YFC), class C and class F (UK) fly ash. In the first group of the produced geopolymer mortars, NaOH (NH) was used as the activator, and in the second group, Na2SiO3 (NS) and NaOH (NH) were used to compare and examine the activator effect on the physical and mechanical properties. A total of five series of mortars were prepared and propagation, ultrasonic pulsed wave velocity, flexural strength, compressive strength and microstructure analysis were performed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) energy distribution spectroscopy (EDS). It was determined that the addition of NS increased the compressive strength, while the YFC100 reference sample achieved the greatest increase with 113%, the fly ash sample compared to UKC30; It was determined that the compressive strength of the UKF30 sample increased by 60%.
