Özet (EN)

This study is determined to delve deeper into "Representations of women with Turkish origin in German Cinema industry from past to today" in the context of trans-nationalism and hybrid identity. It prefaces with the chronology of migration from Turkey to Germany and the identity processes experienced in both cultures of the generations with Turkish origin. It also tries to figure out how immigrant-origin identities change from generations to generation over time. Within this scope, whether these identity conversions have been reflected by the representations of Turkish women in the screen were investigated by using literature review in company with movie analysis. Apart from issues scrutinized with movie analysis and literature review, some interviews were held with those 24 women who have Turkish origin but born or spend most of their life in Germany. Thus, it tries to observe the parallelism between real life practices and findings of literature reviews. The thematic analysis of Keyton and deep interviews were used as qualitative methods during data collection process. After all analyses were made, this research concludes that the representation of women with Turkish origin in German cinema has been trans-national and reached a hybrid identity over time.
