The vocabulary of Alper Canigüz's novels

Alper Canıgüz is one of the authors of today. He started to work in 2000 and has five novels. Alper Canıgüz produced works only in the genre of novels. The author, who published his latest novel in 2017, continues to write. In this study, five of Alper Canıgüz's novels were examined and vocabulary was extracted. As vocabulary elements in the author's novels; proverbs, idioms, dilemmas, stereotypes (relationship words), arguments, terms, foreign words were determined. After giving brief information about language in the introductory part of the study, the purpose, scope and limit of the study and the method are stated. The study consists of two parts. Birinci bölümde Alper Canıgüz'ün hayatı ve eserleri incelenmiş, edebî kişiliği ortaya konmuştur. In the second part, the elements of vocabulary identified in Alper Canıgüz's novels are examined. This section provides information about each item in each topic. The elements were supported with sample sentences and dictionary meanings taken from novels. In addition, each item is classified and sub-divided. The usage rates of some elements in the novels were also determined. The implications of the vocabulary elements and the style of the author were revealed. In the conclusion part, the findings obtained from this study were evaluated. Based on these findings, general conclusions about playing are made.
