Abstract (EN)

Due to the changing social structure, population growth and technological developments, there has been an increase in the number of shopping establishments in recent years. As a result of my researches, when the historical processes are examined, the concept of shopping has changed from day to day, and interest and demand for shopping have started to increase, thus the concept of shopping center has emerged. The analysis of the floors of the shopping mall floors was made using the standards for the Turkish standards institute shopping malls by the standards of 13589 and the official newspaper of 26 February 2016. A total of 4 shopping malls in Gaziantep, M1 Real, Sankopark, Forum and Primemall shopping center were researched. Floor plans were examined and analyzed on store floors, circulation areas, activity areas, places of worship, common usage areas, children play areas, toilets, parking lots. Locations on the floors of the stores were determined and the conformity of these spaces to the determined standards was measured. As a result of the reviews, it has been determined that the M1 Real shopping center does not meet most standards in terms of structure and design. The Forum and Primemall shopping centers have been found to be the closest shopping centers to the standards due to the years of construction and the changing design insights. It has been determined that the number of shopping centers built in Gaziantep, which is one of the important tourism cities of Turkey, is increasing and that indoor spaces of newly constructed centers are compatible with functional space solutions and standards
