Özet (EN)

The intention of this study was to evaluate the emotional intelligence and resilience levels of a sample consisting of fifteen participants (their mean age is 37,26±6,06) after their undergoing a modified mindfulness-based training programme for six weeks. One-group pretest-posttest experimental model was used in order to obtain the results. The participants in the experimental group of the study consist of people who have taken part in the company trainings the author/ researcher has given and who have replied postively to the announcement she has made concerning this research. In this research, personal information questionnaire was used to collect basic demographic information from participants. In order to measure the resilience component Resilience Scale for Adults (RSA) was used. The emotional intelligence (EI) component was measured by Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire –Short Form (TEIQue-SF) based on the long form of the TEIQue. Assessment tools were administered before and after the implementation of the mindfulness practice SPSS software was used to analyze the data. Wilcoxon signed rank test was used to analyze the experimental data. In this study, the experimental group had six, ninety minutes-long sessions. In conclusion, after taking the modifed mindfulness based program data analysis showed a significant increase in the EI and resilience levels in the experiment group. The participants had positive changes in self-perception, resilience and emotional intelligence scores after the mindfulness program.
