Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to investigate the length measurement skills of 6 th and 7 th grade students. This study is an interpretive, qualitative multi-case study model. The population of the study consists of the students who are in 6th and 7th grades. The sample of the study consists of 6 and 7 th grade students from 2 (two) formal secondary schools which were determined by purposive sampling method in 2018-2019 academic year. In the sample, grade level, gender and mathematics achievement grades for maximum diversity; it is based on volunteering in an easily accessible situation. The scales and interviews prepared during the research were applied to the students and used as a data collection tool. The analysis of the data obtained as a result of the activities that will improve the students 'preliminary knowledge and skills, reveals that the 6th and 7th grade students' length measurement prediction skills are improved. It was seen that the grade level did not affect the length measurement estimation ability holistically, the students with high course success were more successful than the female students.
