Mythi̇c adventure of Altai̇c epi̇c heroes (Maturi̇ng)

The epics are amongst the first focal phases of mythic world in point of their phase of appearance. From the viewpoint of profound conceptional aspects they keep in vertical dimension, they narrate myths and mythic thoughts. Since first appearance in from historical period to the present, human beings expressed their internal reactions through the medium of myths, legends, tales and folk tales, which can be presumed as outpouring of the collective unconscious. In this respect, this kind of outputs is the result of interpretation or sense-making process of the humankind the world, nature and life after creation. Beyond any doubt, they survived invariably from creation until today under the influence of factors that made historical, political, geographical and religious changes in the humankind. Almost in all world epics, heroes typifying the self fundamentally are subjected to going through the phase of pubescence and maturing by means of a series of exams. This process is primarily the process of maturing of the population creating the text against elapsing life in the background. When viewed from this aspect, in vertical dimension of epics incident to Altai Turks, change and transformation story of Turkish people in the historical period is kept. Considering Altai epics, the mythic pubescence and maturing process of epic heroes starts with the stage of wending, as stated by the famous myth analyst Joseph Campbell. The heroes are paired with their case history and are updated by the community before birth. In this context, mythic adventure of heroes in Altai epics starts prior to pregnancy. Considering prenatal process and fabulous birth, individualization process of the heroes updates himself based on the past experiences. Thus, eternal journey of the hero begins with the prenatal period, i.e the finite journey. In respect to this, the Turkish community titivates the hero with mythic narrative forces before his time. The hero goes through the phase of pubescence and maturing to keep the Turkish community alive that he was born and raised in. A series of exams he had as of the birth show in one sense progress that his community made. In this study, the pubescence and maturing stages of Altai epic heroes as from prenatal period are dealt with systematically.
