Özet (EN)

The building sector plays an active role in our lives in terms of housing and employment. In this context, reinforced concrete buildings that are more resistant to earthquakes are widely used in our country. These buildings have a large share in carbon emissions and energy consumption. Reducing this share is important in terms of improving energy performance. In this thesis study, the thermal energy performances and environmental effects of two different reinforced concrete structures, the "Pure Shearwall" Building and the "Shearwall-Frame" Building, were investigated in the climatic conditions of the province of Elazig. Thermal performance analyzes for both buildings; It was carried out with three different methods, namely the TS 825 method, the Bin method and the DesignBuilder simulation method. First of all, monthly and annual heating loads were calculated for the current situation of two different buildings through three methods, and efficiency alternatives were created in accordance with the climatic conditions of the region and TS 825. Efficiency alternatives designed for both buildings have been analyzed together with their completely uninsulated and current states. Finally, for two different reinforced concrete structures; energy analysis methods and efficiency alternatives were compared and evaluated based on the analysis results. According to the findings, it has been observed that the building with the "Pure Shearwall" system consumes more energy when it is uninsulated and in its current condition compared to the building with the "Shearwall-Frame" system. However, it has been determined that the building with the "Shearwall-Frame" system consumes more energy than the building with the "Pure Shearwall" system, due to the higher transparency rate in the efficiency alternatives in accordance with TS 825. Considering the energy analysis methods, although the three methods differ in terms of meteorological data and calculation technique, it has been concluded that the Bin method and the DesignBuilder simulation method can be an alternative to the TS 825 method, which is used in the project and construction phase of buildings in our country. In addition, it has been observed that the proposed efficiency alternatives have positive effects on the energy consumption and carbon emissions of the buildings.
