Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to reveal the problems encountered in alternative schools, practices and methods carried out in these schools depending on the views of teachers working in waldorf schools. Studies about alternative school have increased with the spread of alternative schools. This study aims to reveal the problems and improve methods and implications of Waldorf schools in Antalya in depth. The study has been conducted with the help of qualitative analysis that broadens the topic of the study. In the framework of this method, the case study was applied where social perceptions were investigated and the most accurate result put forward. In this context, interview form was applied to 15 teachers working in Waldorf schools in Antalya. The data were analyzed in depth by creating themes and referring to opinions. As a result of analises, it was stated that learning process of each student is different, school is restrictive for the individual, importance given to individual differences has increased and these differences have positive effects for education of individual with alternative education. As a result of the study, it was found out that the schools providing alternative education were adopted by the teachers and the difference of the education given from the mainstream education was understood by the teachers. On the other hand, it was found out that parents have prejudices about these schools, and there are problems such as lack of educational materials and lack of experts for alternative education.
