Alternative a meta analysis study on measurement and evaluation tools

In this study, after 2004, in the field of educational measurement and evaluation studies to evaluate a more general point of view. The assessment and evaluation activities within the context of the primary education syllabus which was implemented after the academical year 2004-2005 were altered, various articles, thesis statements, and memorandums were materialized with the intention to determine the situation of these alterations. The intention of this thesis study was to gather evidences in the context of this synthesis for determining whether the influence of new assessment and evaluation materials meet the requirements, the influence of assessment and evaluation materials on the success of students, whether it motivates the student to be more active during the lesson, by utilizing the related research evidences in education. The method of this thesis study is with this reason a metaanalysis study. Metaanalysis is the repeating recapitulation of research findings, and are gathered under a single roof. An effort was made to be helpful for the next researchers, in obtaining in short time the findings which are procured in this way. 128 researches in total were object to the metaanalysis process within the context of this thesis study. The studies utilized in this research were materialized by 140 male and 110 female researchers. 74 of them were students, 2 expert lecturers, 1 teacher, 3 academics, 14 graduates, 37 research associates, 77 assistant professor graduates, 18 associate professor graduates, and 24 professor graduates. The paradigm of this research consists of 13207 students and 9188 teachers. The research results are classified under titles like: ?mutual opinions?, ? positive? and ? negative?. Some of the findings procured within the context of the research; ?This situation can be interpreted as the more positive apprehension of the first use of alternative assessment and evaluation materials, and that there occurred serious changes in the apprehension of it in the following years. ?It reveals that opposite to the traditional assessment materials, differences of opinion was existing between the research results oriented to its functional dimension and the ? functionality dimension of alternative assessment materials in comparison with traditional assessment materials? of teachers and students. ?It?s discovered that there was especially a bigger oppression in terms of the lack of time in the early years of the application of the new assessment and evaluation materials, and that this oppression continuously reduced in the following years. The main opinion was that the classes were found more crowded by teachers and students, when the results related with the classroom size were evaluated in terms of the approximations of teachers and students. The suggestions given below can be improved in accordance with the results procured within the context of the research; ?An effective and continuing in service training is required for solving problems related with the arrangement, application, and evaluation of alternative assessment and evaluation materials by managers and teachers who are the appliers of the new syllabus model. The knowledge of the persons who will introduce the in service trainings about the new system, will increase the quality and fertility of the training courses. The level of the educational process for gaining success in the efforts for reaching the main target will be increased, when satisfying replies are received for the questions which will be asked by teachers and managers. The guidebooks which will guide in the materialization of the process, have to be arranged more clear and comprehensible. Varying the activities which will be present in the guidebooks, will support creative thinking of teachers while composing alternative assessment and evaluation materials. The economic conditions have to be taken into consideration in the selection of the activities for students. Students who live in the city and in rural regions have to think mutually. The problems faced by students while doing their activities have to be considered, and the required organizations have to be done.
