Özet (EN)
About the 6 billion population of the world use the 54% of the renewable surface and underground water sources. It is considered that under this usage circumstances this value will be 70% just because of the population increase. It can be easily claimed that there won?t be enough sources for ecological and environmental functions if you take into account this population increase and unconscious usage of water. The constant decrease of the usable water sources and the continuous increase of the demand for water requires a planned, efficient, sustainable usage of the water sources of our country considering all demands. Because of this reason, a strategy should be developed to make use of the rainwaters in a maximum range. By the rainwater harvesting aiming to develop this strategy, rain water running down the water collecting area is stored in order to use whenever and wherever needed. It is possible that rain water which is recycled with this technique can be used in industrial activities where clean drinking water is not necessary. In industrial activities recycled water can be used as cooling water, boiler feeding water or process water. In this thesis a feasibility study for rooftop rainwater harvesting was done for OSTIM in Ankara taking into consideration of its climate and a computer program doing the projecting calculations developed to help the business owners who are willing to use this system.Key Words : Industrial rooftop rainwater harvesting, ostim, water harvesting
