Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine the nutrient composition of food industry under sieve materials (lentil brokens, chickpea brokens, bean brokens, rice brokens, lentil bran, bulgur bran, corn bran mix, and semolina by-products) using chemical and spectroscopic (NIR) analysis methods. It is to investigate the possibilities of using as alternative raw materials in the feed industry. When the statistical analysis results of the alternative feedstuffs analyzed according to both methods were evaluated, the differences between crude ash, ether extract, crude fiber, ADF and NDF analysis results were found to be significant (P<0.05). The difference between NDF analysis results was found to be significant (P<0.01). Among the moisture analysis results, the difference between semolina by-products, bulgur bran, corn bran mix and lentil brokens were statistically insignificant (P>0.05). However, the differences between chickpea brokens, rice brokens, bean brokens and lentil bran were found to be significant (P<0.05). According to the paired group t-test analysis results of crude protein contents, the differences in corn mix, chickpea brokens, rice brokens, lentil brokens and lentil bran were found to be significant (P<0.05). On the other hand, there was no difference between the results of semolina by-products, bulgur bran, and bean brokens using chemical and NIR analysis methods (P>0.05). In the starch analysis results, the differences between the results in the corn mix were found to be statistically insignificant (P>0.05). The difference between the starch analysis results of semolina by-products, bulgur bran, chickpea brokens, rice brokens, bean brokens, lentil brokens and bran was found to be significant (P<0.01). The difference between the sugar analysis results of semolina, lentil bran, chickpea and rice brokens were found to be significant (P<0.05). The differences were found insignificant in bulgur bran, corn mix, rice brokens, bean and lentil brokens (P>0.05). When the metabolizable energy (ME; kcal/kg) values that calculated from the nutrient analysis results were compared, the difference was found to be statistically insignificant only for corn mix (P>0.05). Failure to calibrate to represent our alternative feed ingredients in the study, whether the samples are homogeneous or not, and the NIR results not reflecting chemical analysis may be the reasons.
