Synthesis and luminescence characterization of aluminate based phosphors

Abstract (EN)

In the study, the host was unadulterated calcium gadolinium aluminate (CaGdAlO4), terbium (Tb3+) doped calcium gadolinium aluminate (CaGdAlO4:Tb) and praseodymium (Pr3+) doped calcium gadolinium aluminate (CaGdOal4:When synthesizing pr) phosphors, microwave assisted ignition reaction method was used. X-ray diffraction analysis of phosphorous materials was performed, and the synthesis result was successful. Thermoluminescence (TL) glow curves of phosphor materials were taken to determine whether the synthesized host CaGdAlO4 and Tb3+, Pr3+ doped CaGdAlO4 phosphors could be used in dose measurement and to observe the effect of the additives on the thermoluminescence properties of the host phosphor material. The TL intensity given by terbium and praseodymium-doped host phosphorus crystal was increased when the thermoluminescence results obtained after UV irradiation were examined. In particular, dosimetric characteristics such as fading and dose response were investigated for the examination of dosimetric availability of CaGdAlO4:Tb and CaGdAlO4:Pr materials. Photoluminescence measurements were also taken of these materials. Transitions of terbium and praseodymium rare earth ions were observed in the excitation and emission spectra obtained.
