Abstract (EN)

Automobile rims are subject to a series of performance tests before they go through series production. These tests have been standardized and approved by vehicle manufacturers. Wheel manufacturers must design the appropriate visual product in the shortest time possible and prepare the mechanical design to ensure that this visual design achieves the result successfully from the specified tests. Through this thesis, the production technology of the aluminum alloy wheels have also been investigated and the basic information to provide the infrastructure to work has been given. In addition, detailed information is given about the performance tests that are determined by standards and applied to car wheels. Furthermore, the past studies on the verification of the performance tests and the verification in the computer environment have been examined. The aim of this thesis is, to carry out the dynamic bending test which is one of the performance tests performed for the product validation on the wheels with the linear static approach in computer analysis environment. In addition, it is aimed to obtain boundary values to be used in analyzes by validating the analysis results with physical tests The main aim of the work is to complete the design of the mechanically verified product during the design phase and to design the right product in one step at a time. As a result of the study, a linear static approach to the dynamic bending test was introduced and limit values were obtained to be used in analyzes to be made for future projects under the specified production conditions.
