The relationship among goal orientation, goal climate and burn-out

This study analyze if the harmony of achievement goal orientation and perceived climate protects the employees from burnout. The study was carried out on the sample of 400 bank employees. The aim of the study is to research the moderator effect of goal climate on the relationship between goal orientation and burnout. According to the results, there is a proof for only the moderator effect of ego climate on the relationship between ego orientation and emotional exhaustion. We can say that when the ego oriented bank employees work in a high level of ego oriented organizational climate, the level of emotional exhaustion decreases. And, in the opposite way, when ego oriented bank employees perceive low ego climate, the level of emotional exhaustion will increase.
