Abstract (EN)
The need for energy has always existed from past to present. With changing and developing technologies, our need for energy, especially electrical energy, is increasing day by day. One of the electrical energy production methods is Hydroelectric Power Plants (HEPP), which are among the renewable energy sources. HEPPs are structures that produce electrical energy by taking advantage of the potential energy of water and converting it into kinetic energy and then into mechanical energy through systems. Contrary to popular belief, HEPP structures do not harm the environment and are economically very useful structures, so they are preferred and used not only in our country but all over the world. HEPPs, which are structures suitable for production capacity, are built and used in areas with high average annual rainfall. Yeşilırmak Basin, located in the northern part of Turkey, constitutes 5% of Turkey's total area with a rainfall area of approximately 39,595 km2. Basin; It is adjacent to the Eastern Black Sea, Çoruh, Fırat and Kızılırmak basins (Yeşilırmak Basin Master Plan, DSİ, 2016). In order to develop the water and soil resources of the basin, drinking water, irrigation, water control and energy storage facilities were built and put into operation. Granulometrically, sediment samples were taken in winter and summer seasons from the materials accumulated in the regulators of Midilli HEPP, Osmancık HEPP, Kale HEPP and Yavuz HEPP within the borders of Amasya province, which provide water to Hasan Uğurlu and Suat Uğurlu dams, which are among the dams benefiting from the HEPPs coming from the Yeşilırmak Basin of Amasya Province. Analyzes will be made. Conducting research and producing data is both time-consuming and costly. In this project, the materials accumulated in the field regulators of existing HEPPs will be taken and sieve analyzes will be made in the laboratory environment, individual granulometric analyzes will be determined and distinct grain diameters (such as d50, d65, d90 etc.) will be investigated and revealed.
