Abstract (EN)

Parallel to the developments in the world and in Turkey with the industrialization process, as a result of the increase in business life and increased work accidents and occupational diseases , occupational health and safety issue , in terms in terms of all professional groups and the risks and dangers has a quite different significance in health care. In our study, for everyone involved in health care organizations on occupational health and safety of important operating units may occur accidents at work and occupational diseases is intended to be evaluated , utilizing the personal method, the importance of occupational health and safety practices were examined. The surgery rooms has vital imortance that is, include many threats in terms of health and safety. Because any accident or occupational illness happen in these working areas affect directly human health safety. The surgery room staff may face with biochemical, physical, psychosocial, biomechanical hazards which have direct effect on their health in the working places. In order to have safer and beter working environments and prevent threat possibilities, surgery room staff should be provided with occupational health and diseases trainings and measurements should be taken. Therefore the essential goal for an optimized working environment must be accomadating a surgery room according to health and safety conditions and to prevent all the possible threats for surgery rooms staff.
