Carboxamide carrying group newn-carboxamide and some metal complexes synthesis and characterization

In this work, the reaction of the furandion compoundwith the ürethane produces dibenzoyl acetic acid N-carboxyethylamide, the starting material. This resulted in the reaction of 2.6-diaminopyridine with this compound to give the resulting N-(6 aminopyridine-2-yl)-2-benzoyl-3-oxo-3 phenylpropanamide ligand.In this thesis new metal complexes in octahedral geometric structure were synthesized by reacting this bidentate ligand with Cu(II), Fe(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Cd(II) transition metal salts. The structures of these compounds were determined by spectroscopic methods such as Uv-Vis, FT-IR and thermal methods such as TGA. Apart from spectroscopic techniquies, elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility have also been utilized in structure determination.
