Abstract (EN)
An obstacle experienced by patients using hearing aids is the difficulty of distinguishing speech as a result of the existence of ambient noise. With advancements in hearing aid technology, Bluetooth technology has now been integrated into most hearing aids by manufacturers. The objective of this research was to examine the impact of microphone directionality and Bluetooth use on the speech discrimination scores of individuals with hearing impairment in the presence of ambient noise. The primary endpoint was to objectively explore the impact of microphone directionality and Bluetooth on speech discrimination scores in the presence of ambient noise. In this study, patients with moderate sensorineural hearing loss and using bilateral hearing aids will be included and their speech discrimination will be tested in the presence and absence of ambient noise while equipped with hearing aids. The findings of the study will be discussed in a comparative manner with the available literature in the results and discussion sections
