The problems that teachers encounter and the solution proposals of the teachers that give basic education to Syrian immigrant students who are not native Turkish speakers

This research is done in 2019 – 2020 Education Year to state the problems of teachers who are teaching Turkish read and write to Syrian immigrant students to learn opinion of the teachers for the problem, and to give different suggestions to people working on programmes, teachers, administrators and researchers. In this research the Descriptive Survey Model was exercised. This research's population is 428 Primary School teacher in Reyhanlı the province of Hatay. Samples are 252 Primary School teachers who were volunteer to fill in questionnaire. Survey was used as a data collection instrument in this research. Data collection process occupied about two months. Teachers participated the survey were supposed sincere and intimate for their answers. Analyses were done after surveys had been applied. Quantitative data and percentage frequencies were described in the analysis of data. Nonparametric chi square test was used to determine differences towards to variable distribution. Pearson chi square test, Yates chi square test and Fisher exact test were used and relevance level was taken 0,05. According to the results; there was preparation for immigrant students to adopt school, sources was partly enough, programmes and units had been prepared for immigrant students, time problems were occurred in the event of achievement goals, students slogged mostly in Turkish Class, there were some letters difficult for students, there were some students who had learned reading without writing, there were contribution of interview with parents, there was communication problems also equipment and physical conditions were insufficient. According to sub goals teachers were agree in a large extent. According to results variable suggestions were made for researchers and for practice.
