Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted at the experimental area of Field Crops Department, Agricultural Faculty of Çukurova University as a main crop in 2010. The aim of this study was to determine yield and some plant characteristics of peanut under the main crop condition. Halisbey peanut (Virginia market type and semi-spreading growth type) was used as a matarail. Six different intra-row spacing (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 cm) were applied with a fixed 0,7 and 0,75 m inter-row spacing. It was determined that the pod yield of per plant was increased when the intra row spacing was increased, but the pod yield of per hectare was not increased at the same level. The highest pod yield (7427 kg/ha) was obtained when the plant density 95.230 plants/ha (70x15). Pod number per plant was 14.98 pod in 285.710 plants/ha (70x5), it was 31.54 pod in 95.230 plants/ha (70x15) and 54,37 in 45.330 plants/ha (75x30). While the pod yield of per plant was 38,15 g in 285.710 plants/ha (70x5), it was 144,0 g in 45.330 plants/ha (75x30).
