Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted at the experimental area of Field Crops Department in Agricultural Faculty of Cukurova University in 2009. The experiment was designed as randomized complete blocks with 3 replications under main crop conditions. The objective of this study is to determine to the effects of different amount and periods of nitrogen fertilizers on the yield and some agricultural characteristics of Halisbey peanut variety grown as a main crop. As a result of this study, the yield of peanut varied between 4733 ? 8487 kg/ha. The highest yield, which is 8487 kg/ha, was obtained as a result of 160 kg/ha nitrogen application, and followed by 7733 kg/ha obtained from 140 kg/ha nitrogen application. The lowest yield, which is 4733 kg/ha, was obtained as a result of 0 kg/ha nitrogen application.Key words: Peanut, Halisbey , Nitrogen Fertilizer, Yield
