The study of the studensts at the department of music at Anatolian fine arts high schools towards piano lessons

This study is carried out to investigate the attitude of the students at the department of music at ASGL high schools towards piano lessons that form the main building stone of music education and in this context to have the students graduated from the high schools mentioned above start the music teaching undergraduate education with a qualified piano education on a strong basis.The stages of this study are formed by the fourth grader students at the depatrment of music at ASGL. Samples are formed by İzmir Işılay Saygun ASGL, Bursa Zeki Müren ASGL, Bolu ASGL, Ankara ASGL, Niğde ASGL, Mersin Nevit Kodallı ASGL, Bingöl Vali Tamer Ersoy ASGL, Diyarbakır ASGL, Gaziantep Ticaret Odası ASGL and Malatya Abdulkadir Eriş ASGL.SPSS (The Statistical Packet for Social Sciences) program 17 is used in the data related with the study for analysis. The attitude towards the piano lesson is scaled. In the first part of the scale that are consisted of two parts, personal information is taken place and in the second part, total 30 attitude expressions concerning satisfaction and value sub-sizes are taken place to determine the attitudes of the students studying in the field of music at ASGL towards the piano lesson.The data obtained from the scale is coded and analysed by SPSS program and suggestions are offered in the light of these results.KEY WORDS: Piano Course, Attitude Scale, Attitude.
