Abstract (EN)

In this study, determining the information related to the musical kind, compesers and interpreters that the students who are studied at Anatolian High School of Music prefer to listen, which variables affect and define their preferences and chancebility with gender and with boarding and day students is aimed..This study was carried out with last class students at Music Departments of 7 Anatolian High School of Fine Arts randomly chosen among the Northwestern cities of Turkey. A questionnaire was applied to the students to collect the required data. SPSS 15.0 is handled processing data. To determine the significant relationship between some evidence, percent ( % ) and frequency ( f ) which are module of aggregation and distrubition that are definitional statistic;, the nonparametric Chi-Square test is carried out.Result of research detected that the first three music kind that students prefer to listen were Europan Classical Music, Turkish Folk Music and Turkish Pop Music. It was determined that students were influenced by the music kind taught at schools, music kind that their friends and family members listen. Moreover, there is no significant relationship between the preferences of the students and their genders and their being a boarding student or a day student.Key Words: Anatolian High School of Fine Arts; Preference, Approbation; Music Preferences; Music Kinds
