The refutations in the Anatolian field Turkish folk literature has appeared independently in the context of the minstrel tradition or in the section of speaking of the minstrel performances, and within the texts of fairy tales, folk tales, Karagöz, theatres-in-the-round, and folk songs. The refutations, which do not have a fixed form, have been sung on almost every subject concerning the people. It is also possible to say that the refutations have different functions, depending on the characteristics of its type, besides their functions of humor, protest, and criticism.
