Examination of the motives in Anatolian jewelry and the motives in Tunisian jewelry

In the research work, the kinds of Anatolian and Tunisian woman jewelries, the ornament techniques used in the jewelries and the evaluation of the motifs and the composition features are targeted.The universe of the research is formed by the Anatolian woman?s jewelries, being present at the Estergon Ethnography Museum in Ankara and the Ethnography Museum in Ankara, and by the Tunisian woman?s jewelries, being present in the literature researches and the researches made in the electronic form. 50 numbers of Anatolian Woman?s Jewelry and 25 numbers of Tunisian Woman?s Jewelry are selected as sampling from inside of the universe.The kinds of woman?s jewelry used in Anatolia, the ornament techniques used in these jewelries and stating of the motif features are mentioned in the part of findings and interpretations.At the end of the research, it is seen that the motifs in the Anatolian and Tunisian jewelries resemble to each other. The geometrical, botanical, symbolical motifs are used largely in the Anatolian jewelries. In Tunisian jewelries, the geometrical motifs are used mostly, ?fish? from the motifs with figures and ?hand? from the symbolic motifs. The women in Anatolia and Tunisia use extremely the jewelries in the ornaments of head, neck, wrist and breast.The catalog which consists of Anatolian and Tunisian woman?s jewelries forming the sampling of the research is present. The information related to the photographs and drawings belonging to the jewelries, the sorts of jewelries, the ornament technique, the motifs and the composition features take place.
