Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, optimization of the commutation angle and motoring / generating mode has been implemented to reduce torque ripple minimisation of the switched reluctance motor (SRM). For this purpose torque ripple minimisation with lineer and nonlineer torque sharing function (TSF) have been carried out. Conventional optimization of TSF are performed according to turn on angle, turn off angle and overlap angle. In this case, the rising angle and falling angle of TSF are accepted equal. However, rising time and falling time of phase current is not the equal because of exponential effect. Therefore, rising and falling times are different. In this study, turn on angle, rising angle, falling angle and turn off angle are optimized to resolve this problem. Thus, tracking the reference current of the phase currents is performed more easily and performance is increased. Online genetic search algorithm is used to determine these angles. Experiment studies have been carried out at different speed and torque conditions. Furthermore, the proposed method is compared with conventional methods. Consequently, proposed optimization method has been shown to be more effective according to conventional optimization method for torque ripple minimisation in a wide speed range. The effectiveness of the proposed method and real time implementation are performed by experiment studies with as a real time TMS320F2812 digital signal processing (DSP) and simulation studies.
