An application on efficiency measures of businesses with analytic network process and data envelopment analysis

The financial performance of enterprises, their ability to maintain their existance and reach their targets are important points for business stakeholders and third parties. Critical decision making is an important part of the testing of financial performance of enterprises. In this study, the financial performance of the companies operating under the Index of Food, Beverages and Tobacco related to Borsa Istanbul has been analyzed and 23 enterprises in the index have been analyzed. For this purpose, in accordance with similar studies previously found in the literature, 3 criterias and 9 sub-criterios were evaluated using the analytical network process method and weight constraints were obtained. The resulting weight constraints were used in the assuarance zone model based on data enveloping analysis. As a result of the study, the efficiency scores of the firms operating in the Food and Drink sector were obtained in terms of financial performance, and the companies which have taken the references and determined which financial ratios should be improved in order for the ineffective firms to become effective. Analyzes made made it possible to compare the financial performances of companies in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco index.
