Opinions about the musical activities in kindergartens of teachers working at the kindergartens

OPINIONS ABOUT THE MUSICAL ACTIVITIES IN KINDERGARTENS OF TEACHERS WORKING AT KINDERGARTENS (THE CASE OF ESKSEHR PROVINCE) (Thesis of Masters Degree) Esen ÖZÇMENL GAZ UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES Ankara 2007 ABSTRACT In this research, the opinions about the musical activities in kindergartens of teachers working at kindergartens are determined. The kindergarten teachers working at the public and the private kindergartens depended on the Ministery of National Education in Eskisehir, in the Academic Year of 2006- 2007 form the population of the research. Since there is an access to whole population, no sample is taken. In the scope of the research, a questionnaire is used for the kindergarten teachers. The data obtained from the questionnaires are shown on tables by using frequency and percentage. As a result of the reseach, it?s determined that kindergarten teachers think there are deficiencies in their qualities about music activities, there is a need to form iv a separate area in kindergartens for musical activities with musical instruments, equipments and physical conditions which are adequate in quality and quantity, the musical activities in the environment affect the musical activities in kindergartens positively, there should be an association in musical activities between school administration, teachers and parents, the Preschool Curriculum of the Ministry of National Education is adequate for the musical activities and supervisors are not able to guide them adequately in the musical activities. In the research, recommendations based on the results of the research are put forward.
