Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between preschoolar emotional regulation skils and mother emphatic behavior and mothers attitude to their children. Sampling of investigation consist of 227 preschoolar and their mothers that have been choosen randomly from kindergartens at Çankaya city Ankara. Assesment of child?s emotional regulation skils has been evaluated by Emotional Regulation Checklist. Mother?s emphatic behaviors has been evaluated by Emphatic Tendency Scale, mothers attidute to their childs has been evaluated by Coping With Negative Emotion Scale. For the assesment of mothers? and child?s demographic properties Family Information Form has been used.At the end of our study we have found that emotional regulations point of girls is higher than the boys (U = 1214,00, p<.01). Emotional regulation point of child doesnt show significance between mothers age and mothers educational level. We have found statistically significance diferences between mothers emphatic behavior and children emotional regulation points (U= 3710,50, p<.01 ). We also found that there is statiscally significance difference between mothers attitude to their child and emotional regulation point(U = 2221,50, p<.01). There is high correlation between supportive mother behavior points and emphatic tendency points (r = 0,846, p<.01) .Keywords: preschoolars, emotional regulation, emphathy, maternal tendency, mother?s attitude
