Abstract (EN)
Scorpions can produce venom to provide food and defend themselves. Stings of scorpion cause a serious envenomation to animals. Therefore envenomations are a major public health problem in tropical and subtropical regions of the World. Since ancient times, venom of animals were used for therapeutic purposes in tradional medicine. The venom is a rich source for biologically active molecules such as small peptides, neurotoxins, hemotoxic, cytotoxic compounds. This is aimsed to compare the results of NanoDrop and Bradford methods in determination of protein content of Androctonus crassicauda scorpion venoma.
