Abstract (EN)
Animation, one of the most important art forms of the twentieth century, has attracted attention mainly with its visual aesthetics and has been generally handled within this framework. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the animation industry, for which the USA set its standards, becomes one of the important stones of the entertainment industry. In this context, the narrative strategy of the art form is basically based on classical narrative. This research, which tries to analyze the relationship between the magical realistic narrative mode, which is one of the different narrative perspectives apart from classical narrative, and the animation form, tried to reveal the rich expression potential of narrative animation. Defining the role of comic story and narrative animation, which constitute a missing link of the magical realist theory, in the historical transformation process that seems to be connected with each other in different periods, disciplines and geographies has formed the basic starting point of this research. For this purpose, the relationship between the narrative animation and the magical realist narrative mode has been examined based on the magical realist theory with a historical analysis approach. As a result of this historical analysis, an analytical generalization has been reached. As a result, it is revealed in a structural framework that there is a strong harmony between animation art form and magical realistic fiction and how this harmony has been realized throughout history. Thus, it has been tried to open a new window to the existing literature both in magical realism theory and in understanding the richness of creative visual expression forms that exist outside of the classical narrative of narrative animation. In addition, based on the results of the research, a short magical realistic animated film "How did the pandas go extinct?" was made.
