In context of "subjective correlative theory" "Kocakar ile Tilki" application movie

Cinema, a tool widely used for illusions and entertainment in the early era, has been evolving with an incremental pace into actual modern structure by exploration of the potential unique expression in storytelling context. In the search of new stories to tell, cinema aimed its course to literary texts. The main story requirement is fulfilled by adapting films from literature works, also helped to attract literature lovers itself. Likewise literature works are transferred to the next generation with the help of cinema. However, most of the time adapted movies are compared with original text source, have been mainly criticized for not being loyal enough to the original source text and some similar matters. Animation films, accepted as another genre of cinema, mostly contextualized within criteria of "live-action" cinema in terms of adapting techniques and many other subjects. Paul Wells asserted, this is an inadequate way for evaluating the adaptation potential of animation cinema hence he offered "Subjective Correlative" theory formed by six main subjects. These six subjects have become criteria of criticism for animation cinema as well as being guidelines for the production process of adapted animation films. This study focuses on the formulation of Paul Wells' "Subjective Correlative" theory. All six subjects of "Subjective Correlative Theory" have been examined deeply, after then in accordance with these six subjects, the tale named "Kocakarıyla Tilki" by "Nazım Hikmet Ran" has been adapted to an animation film to show the true potential of "Subjective Correlative Theory" as a method of producing animated cinema.
