Abstract (EN)
This study tries to reading the meaning of Ankara 19 Mayıs Stadium in terms of spatial, social and ideological context of the in the Early Republican Period. The period between 1923 and 1938 is the years when the Republican Regime was established and the architecture was considered as a part of the ideological and social modernisation process of the government initiated that time. The importance of the stadium in this construction process of the nation is investigated by analyzing the official archive documents, published papers-journals, and literary works mentioning that period.
