Abstract (EN)

In this study, 21 tomb stones, in the museum of Etnography, Ankara, pertaining to Karakoyunlu, Seljukian and Ottoman periods were examined in terms of form, elaboration and features of the period.First of all, literature of these stones was investigated. This scattered information has been meticulously gathered, compared and contrasted, then synthesized in this study. Stones with dates on were translated and categorized accordingly and evaluated in harmony with their period features. It is also seen that stones, in the museum of Etnography, Ankara, were the forecoming examples of elaboration techniques of their own period.The main aim of our thesis - documentation of the form, elaboration specifications and composition features - were achieved through photographing, measurements and drawings. The examples of elaboration of the stones were given in tables in addition to determining the current conditions.Deformations occurred up to-day were observed to appear some due to weather conditions and some due to human factors.
