Musical studies of Ankara public's house

In the first years of the republic, the essential contributions of Turkish hearths within the studies of national state construction, is obvious. After 1932, this mission was undertaken by the public's houses. The public's houses operated as the hearths of people's education through the path of being a nation. Musical studies were among the most important activities. The basic principle in the field o +f music is to develop and popularize national music with the help of modern music. For this purpose, Ankara Public's House had some attempts, such as; choir, courses to teach playing musical instruments, concerts, collecting the folk songs, scoring the collected musical values. In addition to these, some concerts were organized in the Public's Houses and its smaller units in the towns, in order to introduce the minstrels to the people. The most important organization was undoubtedly the conferences and courses given by the respected masters, who were famous countrywide and worldwide, in Ankara Public's House. Thereby, scientific discussions started about musical performances in Turkey and the musical methods. So, it is exactly true that, every subject, which can be discussed scientifically, have the meaning for development.
