Ill ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to examine the training activities, in personal views of the manager, the trainer and the working staff, carried out by the ready- made clothing sector firms in Ankara in order to train and develop worker's skill. The research comprises of four sections. In the first section, the subject matter, the general information; in the second section, the systematic of the research are introduced. In the third section, research foundings related to the personal views of the manager, the trainer and the working staff and their comments are presented. Finally, in the last section, conclusion and suggestions are given. On the one hand the universe of this research consists of the manager, the trainer and the trained working staff of small and middle scaled ready-made clothing sector firms which are registered in Ankara Chamber of Commerce in Ankara province. On the other hand, the sampling contains the representatives of the universe which are the managers of 20 firms, the training staff and the workers who get training. In order to determine the situation of training activities carried out by the firms, three different means of measurement have been developed to collect data from the managers, the trainers and the workers. The researcher has visited the concerning firms and implemented manager's interview form to managers and survey forms to trainers and workers. After implementation, data collected from 20 firm managers, 20 trainers and 85 workers have been loaded in to computer by making use of SPSS program. Afterwards frequency and percentage calculation, the results of the test on differentiation in personal views and one way variation analysis have been put in table format. According to the research foundings from the personal views of the managers, trainers and the working staff ; it has been found out that most of the i KURU LUIV firms do not have a training department; trainers have been selected among the staff of other departments in the firm; education level of the trainers are low, which is not considered as important by the managers of the firms; the new workers are given training only in the firm and at the beginning of employment When personal views of the concerning groups are compared according to sex, educational status, professional seniority and age; it has been found out that there is no meaningful difference among those groups.
