Abstract (EN)

A total of 642 samples belonging to the aquatic beetles were collected by area studies from province of Ankara and its around that located in Central Anatolia region of Turkey in September in 2006 and in April to August in 2007. And then identified as the result of the identification, 40 of these samples species group taxa belonging to 26 genera of 6 families (Coleoptera) were determined. Among determined species Aulonogyrus concinnus Klug, 1834, Gyrinus urinator Illiger, 1807, Orectochilus villosus villosus O.F. Müller, 1764 belonging to Gyrinidae family, Haliplus heydeni Wehncke, 1875, Peltodytes caesus (Duftschmid, 1805) belonging to Haliplidae family, Agabus bipustulatus (Linnaeus, 1767), Agabus conspersus (Marsham, 1802), Agabus nebulosus (Forster, 1771), Ilybius fuliginosus fuliginosus (Fabricius, 1792), Platambus lunulatus (Fischer von Waldheim, 1829), Platambus maculatus (Linnaeus, 1758), Rhantus suturalis (W.S. MacLeay, 1825), Acilius sulcatus (Linnaeus, 1758), Graphoderus cinereus (Linnaeus, 1758), Hydroporus palustris Linnaeus, 1761, Hydrovatus cuspidatus (Kunze, 1818), Hygrotus inaequalis (Fabricius, 1777), Laccophilus hyalinus (DeGeer, 1774) belonging to Dytiscidae family, Berosus frontifoveatus Kuwert, 1888, Enochrus fuscipennis (Thomson, 1884), Helochares lividus (Forster, 1771), Helochares obscurus (O. F. Müller, 1776), belonging to Hydrophilidae family were stated as the first records for Ankara. 22 of determined species are new records for research area. In the present work, the habitats, the phenologies and the known distributional data of the determined species were given. Distributional areas of each species were given into two categories as in Turkey and in the world. The Turkish distributional areas of each species were also marked on the maps.
