Abstract (EN)
In this study, researches were conducted on solid waste management in Mamak district center of Ankara province. The services of Mamak Municipality, which is involved in waste management, for waste reduction and the activities of ITC-Mamak facility that provide waste recovery and integrated management are examined. In order to determine the behaviour, attitudes, knowledge levels and sensitivities of individuals who take the most important role in solid waste management, a 30-question questionnaire based on WEB was applied to 204 people over the age of 18 residing in Mamak. SPSS analysis was applied to the survey results and the margin of error of the study was 6.86 and the confidence interval was 95%. Frequency tables were created by performing normality analysis, ANOVA analysis, correlation and regression analyses on the obtained data. In the light of this information, the problems encountered in solid waste management were investigated and suggestions were presented. As a result, it is sufficient for the individuals who are surveyed to collect the solid wastes generated in the houses separately.
