The research of jewelry design Couse Centers of Ankara Keçiören Municipality

The goal of this reearch is to examine the validity in daily life, the place in Handicraft Course of Municipality of Ankara Keçiören Vocational Training Course Centers Jewelry Design Course Program, in terms of particiants? views. During the research, with the help of expert opinions, a survey was organized and it is administered on 64 participants. The study area is composed of the participats of Ankara Vocational Training Course Centers Jewelry Design Course in 2010-1011 education year. On the analysis and interpretation of the research findings, results are given in the tables based on the frequency and percentage distributions.Acording to the evaluation of the data obtained from the research, it is identified that jewelry design course program is enjoyed by the students. It is seen that , equipments in use, are not match todays technology. The techniques used in theprogram was seen mostly inadequate, developnets in the market are applied on the products used in lessons. Resources used in the lessons are partly in adequate level. The products produced in the lessons and the products in the market are mostly similar.Hours in program are found offenly enough and the purpose of the course is partially achieved. It is specified that the new techniques were partly allowed to be implemented on the program.There is not any merchandising and sales opportunities fort he products that are produced in the lessons. Equipments are technologically inadequate. The program used is often inadequate in terms of content. The training is partly suitable for business. In lessons, mostly magazines and models are used as a source. Products produced in lessons are deemed of interest outside of the course. Most of the students suffer in the supply of material. Teaching methods used in Jewelry design training is seen partly enough. Students? use of their creativity in Jewelry design courses is partly possible. Students indicated that it is impossible to learn all current techniques in the given program. It is indicated that the behaviours of the teachers in this program makes most of the students enjoy the course.
