Abstract (EN)
In the evaluation of some urban afforestation works in Ankara region; park, garden and road afforestation of the city were evaluated. In this study, it was observed whether the plant taxa used in urban afforestation are suitable or not. In urban park and garden afforestation, tree species diversity is high, road plantations are not much species diversity, maintenance deficiencies have been determined. It should be considered that urban afforestation works should provide continuity in long and versatile periods. The studies carried out within this scope require projecting. It is important to ensure that the applications and studies are suitable for the city in terms of ecological and biological characteristics, so that the wrong applications are not made. It is aimed to serve people with appropriate tree species selection, proper planting technique and maintenance works. In this study, suggestions were made about which species are suitable for afforestation works to be carried out in the city, starting with projecting and maintenance conditions in the study areas.
