Abstract (EN)
In this study, the uplift capacity of strip anchor plates were analyzed for three different widths (B), eight different embedment ratio (H/B), loose-dense sand and soft-stiff clay situations under static and dynamic conditions. Plaxis computer program which solves by finite element method was used and analyses were carried out in 2 dimensions using "Hardening Soil" for sand and "Mohr Coulomb" for clay as a material model. In order to observe the earthquake effect, the dynamic load in the vertical direction of 0.1 G was affected and the change in the uplift capacity of the anchor was examined. In case of the same anchor width and the same soil conditions, the effect of the embedment depth on the failure mechanism has been observed. In addition, under certain conditions, ground water was affected on the anchor plates, and the vertical displacement of the anchor was compared with the situation where ground water was not present. As a result of the study, it was observed that the uplift capacity increased due to the increase in the embedment depth, the uplift capacity on dense sand and stiff clay had a greater value than the loose sand and soft clay state, and the uplift capacity increased in direct proportion with the increase of the anchor width. The presence of groundwater under some conditions, depending on the anchor's embedment depth, caused the anchor to displace more in the vertical direction. The earthquake load acting on the soil reduced the uplift capacity of the anchor by an average of 8% compared to the static condition.
