Abstract (TR)

This research which provides a comperative analysis of child rearing attitudes and chlid’s self-reliance level that they are between ages 5-6 designed with description and relational model. The research’s study group consist of 120 volunteer parents and their children whose children attended preschool education institution selected by random sampling method in Northern Cyprus during 2016-2017 academic year. In this study Personal Information Form developed by researcher, Parents Attitude Scale (PAS) developed by Karabulut Demir and Şendil (2008) and DeMoulin Self Perception Scale for Children developed by Donald Demoulin and it adapted into Turkish by Kuru Turaşlı (2006) were used as data collection tools. The data is evaluated by SPSS 18statistical analysis program, t-test, ANOVA and correlation analysis were used as data analysis techniques. Analysis of statistical methods were carried out accordingly and .01 and .05were accepted as significance level for analysis. According to this findings, there is a significant relationship between children’s self-reliance and their gender and their parents perception of social support. On the other hand no significant relationship was seen between parents’ parentin attitudes and their child’s gender, number of children, and their perception of social support. Hovewer, there is significant relationship between parental attitudes and their educational level, working status, their specify parents attitudes, perception of efficiency and their aggreement with spouse about child reliance.
